Programme Description
The Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) Programme is an integrated combination of general education and high quality business studies. Admitted students can investigate different concentrations by completing a common Year 1 curriculum and must declare their concentration by the end of Year 1.
Students can choose from one of the following concentrations which they will specialise from Year 2 onwards:
To further deepen interdisciplinary across different business disciplines, students may take the following Concentrations as their second concentrations:
The School does not set any quota and will accommodate students' choice of Concentration. Additional graduation options include a Double Concentration within the BBA, or a Minor in a non-business discipline.
Students accepted to the programme will earn two degrees by spending the first two years in HKBU BBA and the final two years in NEOMA Business School (NBS) in France. French courses and 6-month internship opportunities will be offered to help students further immerse in French culture and develop business networks. Participants are expected to expand their global vision and fully equip themselves in the job market upon completion of the programme. For more details, please visit: https://bba.hkbu.edu.hk/be-global/hkbu-nbs-2-2-double-degree-programme.html.
The University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) is one of Switzerland’s leading universities. By spending the first and final year at HKBU BBA, and the second and third year at FHNW, students will receive a BBA and a Bachelor in Business Administration (International Management) conferred by HKBU and FHNW respectively. The programme equips students the necessary knowledge and competencies to work across multiple functions and cultures. For more details, please visit: https://bba.hkbu.edu.hk/be-global/hkbu-fhnw-double-degree-programme.html.
Selected students are granted propitious opportunities to receive world class education from both institutions, and to be awarded degrees from HKBU and KU. For more details, please visit: https://bba.hkbu.edu.hk/be-global/hkbu-ku-double-degree-programme.html.
The University envisions the importance of transdisciplinary innovations in response to the global challenges and offers a flexible curriculum structure that is much more agile and fits the present and yet-to-known future needs. Students of designated programmes will have the opportunity to opt for a transdisciplinary second major (TSM) / second major (SM) on top of their major. TSMs are geared for particular talent needs in Hong Kong and prepare students to pool knowledge from disciplines to excel in multiple careers, whereas SMs prepare students to gain in-depth knowledge from another discipline to complement the first major. This approach equips students not only for their careers, but also the future development of their respective fields. Seven TSMs and two SMs are launched in the 2025/26 academic year. Please click here for more details.
All BBA students are required to complete at least 120 hours of experiential learning activities (exchange/internship/service learning) before graduation.
All BBA students must have completed 40 hours of courses on LinkedIn Learning platform during their studies at HKBU to be qualified for graduation.
Graduates can develop careers in professional accounting firms and in government, commercial and industrial sectors.

I was given the opportunity to participate in one of the biggest Model United Nations Conferences in Madrid, Spain, with more than 2000 participants from over 110 countries, as a representative of HKBU. It was a valuable experience participating in debates and negotiations with fellow students from around the globe, especially as a “delegate” representing the interests of a particular region in a simulated setting. Furthermore, it was a perfect chance for me to make friends from different parts of the world.
As a Filipino student at HKBU's School of Business, I learned that meaningful connections can transform your university experience. Despite the uncertainties brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, my part-time job as a campus café barista became an unexpected turning point. A simple conversation with a professor led to three life-changing opportunities: scholarships for my Master's degree, a research assistant position, and an internship at a global company. Throughout my four years, I actively participated in business competitions, internships, startup bootcamps, musical performances, and volunteering services. My advice to students: never underestimate the power of genuine conversations – they can open doors you never imagined possible.
