The AI for Business Concentration is to equip students with the essential technical and strategic skills to lead AI-driven innovation and to nurture them to become competitive and ethical business leaders in the modern digital economy. The concentration balances a deep understanding of AI technologies with practical business applications, providing students with opportunities to apply learned theories to resolve real-world challenges.
The AI for Business concentration equips students with the expertise to:
- Utilize AI for Business Transformation: Integrate AI, Blockchain, Cloud Computing, and Big Data Analytics into business processes to drive transformative change and create competitive advantages.
- Leverage AI and Analytics for Smart Decision Making: Extract actionable insights from complex datasets using advanced analytical and AI techniques including Agentic AI to support evidence-based strategic decision-making.
- Cultivate a Transdisciplinary Mindset for Business Digitalization: Integrate technical AI expertise with business acumen to bridge the gap between IT and business functions and deliver measurable value.
- Ensure Data Security and Compliance: Address cybersecurity challenges and ensure compliance with evolving data privacy regulations in an AI-driven environment.
- All BBA students are required to complete at least 120 hours of experiential learning activities (exchange/internship/service learning) before graduation.
- All BBA students admitted to Year 3 are required to complete 20 hours of courses on LinkedIn Learning platform during their studies at HKBU to be qualified for graduation.
