The Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) Programme (Human Resources Management Concentration) has been recognised as the leading human resources degree programme in Hong Kong in recent university ranking surveys, and its graduates have been highly regarded by their employers.  It provides a focus on human resources management, combining rigour of a business degree with exposure to the business arena in order to prepare students for the workplace challenges on people issues they will encounter in both local and international corporations.

  • The HRM Concentration furnishes students with comprehensive knowledge to prepare for the HR profession, including talent planning, recruitment and selection, talent development, performance and reward management, labour relations and law, and HR analytics.
  • The HRM Mentoring Programme enables students to gain first-hand knowledge about the world of work and to start building their personal business networks through interactions with their mentors, who are senior HR executives.
  • Students can apply their academic knowledge and skills in an actual work environment by enrolling in HRM Internship and/or Business Internship. These two courses allow students to work as company interns for a semester or during the summer and earn academic credits at the same time.
  • Students can pursue additional graduation options, including Double Concentration within BBA, or a Minor in non-business discipline.

  • All BBA students are required to complete at least 120 hours of experiential learning activities (exchange/internship/service learning) before graduation.
  • All BBA students admitted to Year 3 are required to complete 20 hours of courses on LinkedIn Learning platform during their studies at HKBU to be qualified for graduation.

HRM graduates can pursue careers in management or human resources management, including specialties such as talent acquisition, training and development, compensation and benefits, or industrial relations, and other general management opportunities
