The programme aims to nurture the next generation of business leaders for the international job market by equipping them with advanced technological knowledge and skills required to succeed in rapidly evolving business and technology environments, as well as to empower future business/IT leaders and entrepreneurs with AI-empowered business knowledge, enabling them to drive positive social impacts and take purposeful action towards sustainability.
The programme has the following objectives:
- To foster the development of students’ data-driven problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, creativity, enabling them to design, manage, and plan data analytics and AI-empowered data analytics solution in diverse business.
- To train students with the necessary skills and knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI), including AI applications, ethical AI practices, effective communication with the support of AI, and a strong foundation in various business domains.
- To equip students with strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration between information technology professionals and business stakeholders with a focus on leveraging AI technologies and a global prospective.
- To provide students with a comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in AI-empowered data analytics projects, empowering them to pursue successful and sustainable careers, as well as further studies in the field and related areas.
Graduates of this programme are expected to possess knowledge and professional skills in essential areas of computer science, economics, finance and decision sciences related to business computing. In addition to all the essential areas, graduates will also possess in-depth knowledge and professional skills in some specific areas in FinTech, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and advanced programming and data-analytics skills, so as to broaden their awareness in business applications that involves Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analysis.
- The programme is co-offered by the Faculty of Science and Technology (Department of Computer Science) and the School of Business.
- The programme is designed with overseas and/or local data analytics internship.

- Students can opt for international exchange to diversify their learning experiences.
- Students are able to undertake internship to gain Business Technology work experience.

We expect our graduates' skills to be attractive to many employers: they can start their careers as business communicators, data scientists, data developers, data engineers, database administrators, financial analysts, market researchers, and other IT-related professionals or engage in financial services jobs. The training in this programme would also facilitate their ventures into launching their own businesses.

1) One of the electives must be any Category A subjects (excluding Extended Part of Mathematics (Module 1 or Module 2));
2) The other elective can be any of the following subjects:
a) Category A subjects (including Extended Part of Mathematics (Module 1 or Module 2));
b) Category B (Applied Learning) subjects with "Attained with Distinction (I)" or above;
c) Category C (Other Language) subjects at Grade C.
Remarks on other requirements:
