Programme Description

The Strategic Retail Management & Innovation Concentration is the latest Concentration opened for admission since 2023. Students will receive opportunities to equip themselves with professional retailing knowledge and management and business skills to become competitive and ethical business leaders and managerial personnel in the retail industry.

Student Learning Experiences

  • Students are highly recommended to acquire valuable hands-on experience and develop network in the retail field through taking an internship. In the past, students have taken internships at various companies such as A.S. Watson Group, Imaginex Group, Nike, HKT Services Limited, CR Care, Optical 88 Limited, and Decathlon. Job functions covered different areas, such as marketing, brand management, category management, sales operation, and merchandising.
  • Students are encouraged to join the exchange programme too. HKBU and the School of Business have signed 250+ exchange agreements with renowned universities across the world.

Associate Degree/ Higher Diploma Students/ Holders

Local final year students or graduates of an Associate Degree/ Higher Diploma programme at an institution recognised by the University are eligible for publicly-funded senior year places.

 

Transfer Students

Transfer students who are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or higher degree programmes at a local or non-local university may apply. 

Please note that according to the guidelines of the University Grants Committee (UGC) on inter-institutional transfer of students, repeating of UGC-funded undergraduate study across institutions, irrespective of whether there is a change of programme or discipline, is generally discouraged unless under very exceptional circumstances.
