The curriculum emphasises the functional areas of the finance profession: investment management, derivatives and risk management, fixed-income securities management and corporate finance.

Unique Features

  • The Finance Concentration sharpens students’ quantitative and analytical skill to make pertinent financial and investment decisions taking into account the global environment and to develop careers in banking, finance, marketing, accounting or general management.
  • Students in the Finance Concentration can join Hong Kong’s first real-money Investment Club run by students to put theories into practice through investing in the stock market.
  • The Concentration provides students with solid finance foundation to pursue professional qualifications as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) Banking Certificate examination, the Hong Kong Securities Institute Licensing examination for Securities and Futures Intermediates (LE) and the Mandatory Provident Fund Intermediaries examination.
  • Students can pursue additional graduation options including Double Concentration within BBA, or a Minor in non-business discipline.
